| Summary Of Activity | Dr. David Keith, Canada Research Chair in Energy and the Environment at the University of Calgary and internationally acknowledged authority on energy policy and climate change, works near the interface between climate science, energy technology and public policy. Much of his policy work and research is focused on the capture and storage of CO2, with his participation in several high profile analysis and advisory committees for provincial, national and international organizations and governments. Dr. Keith's broader climate and energy related research also addresses the economics and climatic impacts of large-scale wind power, life cycle analysis of oil sands extraction technologies and the technology and implications of geoengineering. In addition to his significant contributions in research and public policy, Dr. Keith is educating the next generation of experts in the field of energy and the environmental through the University of Calgary's postgraduate interdisciplinary specialization in Energy and Environmental Systems. |
