| Summary Of Activity | Since 1991, Evergreen Theatre has been creating and performing original science and environment-based musical theatre for audiences across North America. The company started out as a dynamic collective of actors, teachers, nature interpreters, composers and writers. It has since evolved into a not-for-profit, charitable society that offers curriculum-based touring shows for schools and artist-in-residency programs, has commissioned works for zoos, science centres, museums, and has organized workshops and presentations for conferences and organizations nation-wide. |
| Barriers/Challenges To Success | Evergreen Theatre runs on a tight budget. It has been difficult, but with the right amount of elbow grease and conservative spending, it has been possible to keep our programming affordable for schools of all sizes and needs. The cost of actors, production staff, vehicle maintenance, administration and set/props is large, but always kept under control. Without the diligent work of Evergreen staff to receive the necessary funding from many businesses and organizations, 'Go With the Flow' could not have been toured around small-town Alberta for students. |
