Shared Footprints – Excellence in Integrated Land Management
What is Integrated Land Management?
Integrated land management (ILM) is the strategic approach to managing and reducing the human-caused footprint on a landscape.
The most important part of a successful nomination will be the demonstration of a reduction of footprint: human-caused disturbance on the land is reduced in relation to the disturbance that would have occurred without integration.
What are the Shared Footprints Awards?
The Shared Footprints awards celebrate projects that demonstrate excellence in integrated land management. Recipients of the Shared Footprints - Excellence in Integrated Land Management awards will be presented with their award at a ceremony in June 2010.
Share integrated land management successes!
Do you know of a project that demonstrates excellence in integrated land management? The Shared Footprints Awards are looking for nominations of projects that go above and beyond the normal order of business and aim to make a difference to their environment.
As an Emerald Certified award, the Shared Footprints nominations are adjudicated by a panel of Emerald Award judges who decide if the project meets the Emerald Award Criteria and further demonstrates the Shared Footprints Award Criteria.
Who can apply for a Shared Footprints Award?
Anyone or any project can apply. ILM encourages all stakeholders to work together. These awards are open to all industries, all sectors, governments and the general public.
The project must be approved or completed. Projects or work that is in the initial planning stages will be screened out. We encourage you to apply when the project can demonstrate that the judging criteria have been met.
